ABOUT ME
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economic Analysis (DAE) at the University of Valencia (UV). I am also a member of the Behavioral, Experimental, and Evolutionary (BEE) research group.
My research lies at the intersection of behavioral and experimental economics and game theory, focusing on unethical behavior (particularly dishonesty), punishment, social norms, and strategic sophistication. In particular, I study the determinants of dishonesty and how deontological and consequentialist considerations shape moral judgments and the enforcement of social norms. I also investigate how strategic sophistication develops through repeated interaction, whether such learning transfers across environments, and the cognitive processes underlying strategic behavior using eye-tracking techniques. Finally, I use evolutionary game theory models to study the emergence and persistence of conventions in uncertain environments.
I completed my Ph.D. in June 2026 at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (Economics, Networks and Business Analytics) and the University of Alicante (Economics), supervised by Ennio Bilancini and Carlos Cueva. Prior to my doctoral studies, I got a Master's degree in Quantitative Economics (University of Alicante) and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (University of Alicante).
